A little bit about me…
Me…well I grew up in NE Pennsylvania. I had a very abusive home-life as a child. During my teen years, mom remarried and I ended up with a slew of step-siblings. Life was a little better, although I was met with other demons that I have survived. It was during this time that the family moved to Michigan, where I remain even today. I made my way through life and made many personal mistakes along the way. I like to think that I learned from them and use those lessons even now.
Today, I am married to a US Army veteran. I have one beautiful daughter at home and a second one that lives with her mom in Massachusetts.
I am extremely proud of our American military. I may not always agree with where they have been sent or the job they have been given, but I will always stand proudly next to them. My husband and I are members of the PGR (Patriot Guard Riders). I volunteer at the local Army Reserve Unit to help soldiers and their families.
I am very opinionated most of the time, however most people mistake that as being bitchy. That’s fine too. Often times I get a bit feisty and enjoy a good “fight’. I have an odd sense of humor and look for it even in the most unlikely places. I feel that you need to have a sense of humor to get through life. I have a laundry list of interests that is about as eclectic as it can get. I love motorcycles, music, sewing, gardening, POWER TOOLS, crafty things, renaissance faires, home renovation projects, ghost stories, Wicca rituals, kayaking and reading to name a few.
I am very self conscious around most people, however once I get to know someone I become very much open about my body language and conversation topics. I always welcome constructive criticism as I feel it lets us get a new perspective on things. I refuse to take down right destructive or unwarranted personal attacks from anyone. I have made quite a battle out of removing the destructive people in my life and have no room for anymore. While I may seem hard and abrasive to the unsuspecting person, I am really more of the sensitive type within. I welcome new people into my life.
Stop by this blog from time to time to see what I am up to or my views on things in life. I welcome comments. Thanks for reading…enjoy.
